Summer Skincare Tips for Ages 30+

Summer is one of our favorite seasons. The warm weather, fun activities, and beautiful scenery makes this the most enjoyable time of year. However, all that sunshine can take a toll on your skin, especially now that it’s not as young as it used to be! Here are 5 skincare tips every 30+ can use this summer.

  1. Sunscreen

    Protect your skin! Use a UVB/UVA sunscreen whenever you’re outside. While it may be overcast at some point during the day, the sun’s powerful rays still peek through the clouds. Some foundations have SPF included, so check the label of your favorite makeup.

  3. Moisturize

  4. The dry heat will suck the moisture out of your skin, so make sure you’re taking in enough water. Another way to keep your skin feeling soft and supple is a good moisturizer. Use your favorite lotion or cream before your put on your makeup and let it set before you apply foundation. Avoid taking hot showers, as they can also take the moisture of your body.

  5. Cleanse

    Don’t change your routine with the seasons! Continue cleansing your face twice a day with a gentle product. Avoid the use of harsh ingredients including acids.

  7. Exfoliate

  8. Aid your skin in getting rid of dead cells. Use an exfoliator before bed a few times a week. Products with natural ingredients can help refresh your skin in the process.

  9. Eat Well

    Add foods rich in antioxidants to your diet. Foods like blueberries and fish can help your body flush out all the gunk. Delicious and nutritious for your skin! These foods are also refreshing for your body after a winter of heavy soups and breads.
