Get To Know The Studio Academy of Beauty

The Studio Academy of Beauty is a beauty school with three campuses in the Phoenix area, focused on providing students with a complete and well-rounded education. Our focus is on building confidence in young, aspiring professionals in the beauty industry.

We facilitate this by not only providing training and hands-on practice in technical skills, but also by emphasizing business training to help new stylists navigate client relationships, marketing, and other essential practices for success.

Our Curriculum

We offer accredited programs in Cosmetology, Hairstyling, Esthetics, and Instructor Training following Pivot Point’s extensive curriculum. Pivot Point is internationally recognized for its unique approach in teaching stylists a design perspective in their craft. No matter which program you choose, your education will be rounded out with business and career training, so you’re able to hit the ground running once you graduate.

We teach communication skills, conflict resolution, retailing, salon management, and the psychology of customer service, just to name a few.

Students are also provided with plenty of hands-on practice for their newfound skills both in the classroom and in our student salon. To provide the best possible experience with client services, we utilize high-end products from Redken, CHI, Design Essentials, and more.

Our Instructors

Through the years, our schools have built a team of compassionate instructors and staff who are committed to our students’ success. Our licensed instructors take a personal interest in each student to help them cultivate their skills and achieve their goals. We also welcome guest speakers and industry professionals to provide even more perspectives from the beauty industry for students to learn from.

Industry Advocacy

In 2021, The Studio Academy of Beauty was awarded the Advocacy Golden School Award from the American Association of Cosmetology School. This award recognizes our school’s ongoing efforts to elevate the beauty industry in the state of Arizona and influence policy to provide greater recognition and positive legislation to support beauty schools, providing more opportunities for aspiring young professionals. We were also top three for Graduate Placement in 2022 and Top 3 for community service from Moderna Salon Magazine in 2015. In 2013 and 2016, we were recognized by Modern Salon for career placement as well.

Here at The Studio Academy of Beauty, we believe that beauty careers should be seen as a path of choice rather than default, which is why we continue to take steps to educate legislators and the general public about our industry.
